Michele Kane
E-mail Michele Michele Kane joined CBS 13 in September 1998. She currently reports for Good Day Sacramento and has her own segment, "Mom's World." She also anchors CBS13 News at Noon.
Michele Kane joined CBS13 in September, 1998. Prior to joining CBS13 , Michele was at WKMG-TV in Orlando, FL where she was weekend anchor for three years.
Michele is an award-winning reporter who has received awards for "Best Newscast" by the Regional Television News Directors Association at KCOY-TV in Santa Barbara; and a Mayor's Award. Michele's career took her to Bosnia on Special Assignment with "Operation Christmas Child," a non-profit organization that brings Christmas cheer to war-torn countries. She's also been to the forefront of three hurricanes and several tornadoes.
Michele began her career at local radio station KFBK News Talk Radio in Sacramento. She then moved to television as anchor at KIEM-TV in Eureka. Next, she went to Santa Barbara, where she was the morning/noon anchor at KCOY-TV for three years.
Michele is a northern California native. She grew up in Citrus Heights, where she attended Casa Roble Fundamental High School. She graduated from CSU Sacramento with High Honors (Magna Cum Laude) in 1990 with a degree in Media Communications.
Michele is happily married to her husband, Michael, and they have two sons, Brandon and Jordan.
