Watch Chris Monday to Friday on CBS13.com at 5&6 and on Good Day Sacramento weekdays. Chris anchors the show with Stefanie Cruz and Jeff James. You get the news you need to know, you get the weather for Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and all of Northern California...and then you get links to great video and features on CBS13.com in one location. Chris' thought-provoking style has helped CBS13.com at 5&6 receive national attention.

Chris has some history in our area. His family has an apricot and fig orchard in Patterson. He says you should check out the incredibly orange Apricot pie at Mills Restaurant right near the traffic circle if you happen to be heading down Interstate 5. He grew up watching Stan Atkinson say "We have news..............next." Chris likes that you can go from driving your pickup truck down a dirt road next to an irrigation ditch and then just 15 minutes later be in downtown enjoying world class restaurants. For him it's the perfect balance.

Chris attended Chapman University in Orange County. He started as a morning drive talk show host on KCKC-AM in the Inland Empire. Then did afternoon-drive news on KLIV-AM in San Jose. Next it was on to Rapid City South Dakota as the morning anchor and then evening anchor. Next, he went to KGET-TV in Bakersfield to anchor weekends. This is also where he met the woman who would become his wife. After that it was up the 99 to KGPE in Fresno to anchor and executive produce mornings. Finally his girlfriend said yes and he moved back to Bakersfield to anchor and executive produce mornings and marry his wife. Chris was hired at Good Day to co-host the weekend editions and forecast the weather. Now, he co-anchors the show on the weekends and reports live in the field three days a week.

The two loves of Chris' life are his wife and his cat pepper. She's 14 pounds and her belly drags on the ground polishing the wood floors as she walks... we're talking about his cat! The couple likes to work on their house and go out to eat. So if you have any "must-try" restaurant tips, please email him. Chris' wife has the harder job so he does the cooking, cleaning and errands. In exchange his wife does the most dreaded task... folding the laundry and of course putting up with Chris.

Chris says, "Thank you very much for watching us during the week and on the weekends. As you can tell the Good Day staff is amazing to work with. I actually Tivo the show when I'm not working, because everyone is so entertaining. I'm always seeking approval from Marianne. Tina makes me laugh so hard because her humor is so subtle. Nick is like an older brother. Mark, is well incredible. Tom is like a kindly father who has patience for miles. But it's you that makes this job so great. When I need help with a project on the air, you call up and offer your services, you call in with questions for Instant Request Weather and you give me instant feedback on the email when I'm on a tear about something. Thanks for watching and thank you for being so involved."
